Behind the Numbers

4525  hours of clubs & events

Our clubs and events have introduced hundreds of children and young people to new experiences both indooors and out.

Families, with the help of one of our fantastic volunteers in place to support a child disabled by an additional need, have been able to enjoy new experiences together.

"We were confident to enjoy family horse riding together knowing that Charley had a really capable volunteer to help him so that we were free to assist our two other children. We had an incredible time." Charley's mum

20,105 hours of volunteer time

It has been humbling to realise that our volunteers who have run clubs, played in orchestra's, sung in choirs, befreinded young people and also run all of our back office facilities have contributed over 20,000 hours of volunteer time.

No one in GO! is paid a salary and to have all of this time which has been freely contributed to the work to support our young people learn life skills and grow in confidence has been really fantastic and humbling.

Well done and thank you to all our volunteers!

1526 Young People attended a club or an event

We know that it's not all about numbers but we are proud of just how many children and young people we have been able to engage with over the first five years.

Many of these young people have attended clubs and events multiple times and we have found the work we do satisfying as we have enjoyed watching many of them grow and mature into confident young people.

691 hours of  mentoring

Our mentoring programme has been about older volunteers taking the time to engage with a young people to pass on their knowledge life and work skills. Through this they have encouraged young people to try their hand at a range of  opportunities we have been able to offer which has included the restoration of old buildings, general site work, gardening and office based work.
