Thank you to our volunteers who have provided 450 hours of time over the summer making our community garden in Stratton look fantastic, provide play times and clubs for our under 5’s, arrange tea’s for the older folk and provide two community bar-b-q’s
We have been really privileged to create and work on a fantastic community garden in Stratton. This is a space for people in the community to come and work, take pride in and feel more connected. It has been a great project which keeps going from strength to strength, we encourage anyone who may be feeling like they want to get green figured and have free tea, coffee and biscuits to come along and join in with the team.
When we had a big storm in September a huge branch of the old yew tree fell off causing a lot of damage to our community garden. Yes trees are produce some poisonous berries and leaves so we are indebted to the volunteers who have spent time over October making sure our community areas are safe once more. It is a great community focal point and we want to share our thanks to everyone who has got involved in, donated to, and gives up their time for this project!
