Autumn Term in Surrey kicks off with football, basketball and crafts
So what have we been up to in Surrey? The children all really enjoyed playing a games, football and basketball; the children really enjoyed seeing how high they could kick the ball. The staff were thankful of the high ceiling in the sports centre as we seem to have some very talented young people in this terms club.
GO! worked with young people to help develop skills in crafts, teamwork and also role play games which were really popular. GO! runs clubs in Surrey for Children and young people with additional needs to come and make friends, increase confidence and enjoy some time independently away from mum and dad.
As a charity we love supporting these sessions, our staff and volunteers find it hugely rewarding as all the young people really do settle in and enjoy the sessions. For us it is great seeing young people arrive looking nervous and by the end of the session and even the term are more confident and have made new friends.
We are looking forward to the session in 2 weeks, please come along and get involved – let other parents know if you think they could benefit from this short break for young people with additional needs.
