Come visit us at our charity shop in Swindon
GO!Storehouse is our recently extended community charity shop based in the main street of Gorsehill in Swindon. The shop is open every day Monday to Saturday from 9.30 – 4.30 and sells everything from shoes and clothes to three piece suites and curtains. We are also able to sell electrical goods and all are newly pat tested and labeled to give purchasers piece of mind.
The charity shop is not just ‘shop’ in the normal sense that simply sells goods, we are also here to make a difference in the community and we often give away items of clothing, household hoods and furniture to those who are desperately in need of help; and it’s not just a place to buy things, if you need a listening ear and some company then just drop in and see us. The income from the shop supports lots of different things that GO!Storehouse are actively involved in such as community coach trips, our community garden in Stratton Green and our tea and friendship club for older people.
So do you have spare time on your hands, could you become a volunteer in our charity shop? We need people who will commit to a half day or more a week to help us sort out stock, serve customers, some strong people who can move furniture, delivery and collection volunteers, van drivers, and our only requisite is that you have friendly face and are willing to have a DBS check, formerly known as a criminal records check, which we will pay for, to make sure that we are compliant with all the safeguarding matters we have in place to ensure that everyone, team members and customers, are all properly cared for and supported. Everyone is welcome to apply.
contact us if you would like to volunteer at firstname.lastname@example.org or ring us on 01793 228554
So drop in, pay us a visit – we look forward to welcoming you!
